Το Κατάκολο επέλεξαν και φέτος εκατοντάδες πολίτες όλων των ηλικιών για να γιορτάσουν τα Κούλουμα, ανταποκρινόμενοι στο κάλεσμα του Δήμου Πύργου, του ΔΛΤΠ και της τοπικής κοινότητας. Από νωρίς το μεσημέρι είχε στηθεί στην πλατεία του Κατακόλου ένα πλούσιος μπουφές με παραδοσιακά εδέσματα και κρασί, που είχαν την ευκαιρία να γευτούν, δωρεάν, οι επισκέπτες. Ο Δήμαρχος Πύργου Παναγιώτης Αντωνακόπουλος, ευχήθηκε σε όλους-που με σύμμαχο τον καλό καιρό γιόρτασαν την Καθαρά Δευτέρα- χρόνια πολλά, καλή Σαρακοστή, υγεία και αισιοδοξία!
