Στην παρουσίαση του ψηφοδελτίου Σύριζα – προοδευτική Συμμαχία που έγινε στην Αμαλιάδα ο υποψήφιος βουλευτής Ηλείας κ. Χρήστος Φωτόπουλος αναφέρθηκε στο πολιτικό θράσος του κ. Μητσοτάκη ο οποίος επισκέφθηκε πρόσφατα τη πόλη της Αμαλιάδας, ενώ η πολιτική του έχει αφήσει βαθιές πληγές με το κλείσιμο του πανεπιστημιακού τμήματος Γεωπονίας, το κλείσιμο του Νοσοκομείου, την απαξίωση του πρωτοδικείου. Ο κ . Φωτόπουλος επίσης αναφέρθηκε στο διακύβευμα της προοδευτικής διακυβέρνησης και τόνισε ότι δεν είναι απλά ένα άθροισμα ποσοστών , αλλά ένα πολιτικό σχέδιο για τη συγκρότηση μιας μεγάλης προοδευτικής – δημοκρατικής συμπαράταξης που θα στείλει οριστικά την ανερμάτιστη πολιτική του κ. Μητσοτάκη στο χρονοντούλαπο της Ιστορίας.
